I hope you have all had a great summer, the darts especially been hot as has the weather.

Top of the shop in division one is the Hairy Bull, they are still unbeaten this season, a superb effort in an incredibly tough league. Second place, but four points behind is the Diamond, they have suffered defeats against only the Hairy Bull and the Old Endeavour.

Near the bottom of the table it is incredibly close, four sides are on six points, Whitfield Club, Admiral Cups, Three Cups and the Real Diamonds. With only three games left it is definitely going to be a nervous end to the campaign.

In division two the DWMC Maddogs and the Hairy Crown are promoted, we just don’t know which side will win the league. At the bottom of division two the Crown A are relegated, back to back relegation’s, I thought only Sunderland did that.

The second relegation spot is between the DSAA A and the phoenix C, the Anglers are in the driving seat though as they are four points clear of the Phoenix.

Division three, the Crown B are promoted back to division two, but the second promotion spot is between four sides. The Old Endeavour, Phoenix Rising, Sportsman and the DSAA Hope are all on 22 points. We will all be watching with interest over the coming weeks to see will be joining the Crown in division two.

180s leaders are Ricky Edwards of the Admiral Cups and Wayne Venes with 7 each in division one, Dave Buddle of the Boars Head A and Alan Harper of Tilmanstone both on 2 in division two and Shaun Mayes of the Sportsman is 3 in division three.

The big checkouts have also been flying in, Jim Greenway of the Crown Arrows 158 is the biggest in division one, Mick Law of division two has a 136 and the biggest overall is Roy Marsh of the Crown B of division three, he hit a 160.

Some pro night updates for you,

As many of you are aware there has been a major change in the BDO officials, which has seen the resignation of Richard Ashdown who is our normal MC. This has meant that Richard is now working more and more with the EDO, WDO and the PDC which is great news for us is his contact of players is extneding even further, especially in the PDC. However, these new roles means he is unable to MC our pro night this year, but he has found us a replacement, Paul Starr a regular on the MC circuit with Richard.  Richard however is actually disappointed that his long run has ended in Dover, but had vowed to come back next year with a top pro, bigger and better.

There will be no other changes, we still have the incredible Stephen Bunting and our usual Stage Set with Jazon Hawthorn.

Its the turnaround of the season, a chance to get revenge for the first half of the season. Did anyone manage it?

In division three the Crown B suffered defeat for the first time this season, they lost 5-4 against the Sportsman. This was a chance for the Northern Diamonds to close the gap on them, but they also lost 5-4 against the Phoenix Rising. Luca Scott won the final game of the match for the Phoenix. These two results are exact reverses of the first game of the season.

The Eagle beat the DSAA C 9-0 for the second time this season, the Old Endeavour won 8-1 against the Eagle C. In the first round of matches the Eagle C won that match 7-2.

The DSAA Hope completed the double against the DSAA Misfits, they won 7-2.

In division two the Phoenix C beat the Diamond C 5-4, revenging the 7-2 defeat earlier in the season, the Bull Dogs completed a 5-4 against the Crown A, a repeat scoreline. Shane Bryce of the Crown checked out on 114.

The Boars Head A beat the DSAA A 6-3, another repeat first week score. There was a Dave Buddle checked out on 105 and Roy Waymark hit a maximum 171 on the 19s.

There was a no show from Tilmanstone against the Workies.

In division one there was only one team that reversed the score from the first half of the season, The Crown Arrows beat the Three Cups 6-3.

The Hairy Bull won 5-4 against the Old Endeavour, 180 from Ray Bourne of the Old E. The Diamond beat Real Diamonds 9-0, Paul Martin hit a 180 and Kev Down checked out on 125.

The Bull A won 7-2 against the Whitfield Club and the DWMC A won 6-3 against the Phoenix PD, Aaron Quinton of the Workies checked out on 110.

In the latest round of darts we have had some more top finishing, 180s and really close matches. In division one the Diamond jumped back over the Hairy Bull, the Diamond won 8-1 against the Crown Arrows and the Hairy beat the Phoenix PD 5-4. There is just one leg between the two sides, and they still have to play each other in the first half of the season.

 

There was a 180 for Ben Baldwin and a 108 checkout for Darren Hyder for the Diamond, a 180 for Steve Roberts of the Phoenix PD, a 120 Checkout for Keith Montgomery, a 102 for Dean Marsh both of the Hairy.

 

Biggest winners on the night were the Old Endeavour, John Hughes hit a 180 when they beat the Admiral Cups 9-0 and the Whitfield Club beat the Three Cups 7-2.

 

DWMC A beat the Real Diamonds 5-4, Phill Kinnill ans Scot Wilkinson both hit 180s for the Workies.

 

In division two the DWMC Maddogs beat the Dewdrop 5-4, Simon Scott of the Maddogs checked out on 108. The DIamond C got back to winning ways, they beat the DSAA A 7-2 and the Hairy Crown won by the same margin against the Bull Dogs. There was a 180 for Jack Gealer in this match.

 

The Boars Head A beat the Crown A 6-3 and finally still looking for the result from the Phoenix C and Tilmanstone.

 

In division the the Crown B beat the Eagle 6-3, and the second placed Northern Diamonds keep the chase going with a 5-4 win against the Misfits.

 

The Old Endeavour won 7-2 against the Golden Eagle, Jack Isaacs of the Old E hit his fist 180 of the season.

 

Sportsman won 5-4 against the DSAA Hope, a result that moves the Sportsman up to third in the table.
