I start this weeks round up with some sad news, which I am sure many of you will be aware of already. Our good friend of the league Barry Bullock passed away. Barry had been fighting cancer over the past few years in his own special way, the Barry way. No complaints from Barry, he got on with it, lived life to the best he could, played golf with friends and always, without doubt, enjoyed his darts right to the very end. In my eyes he was a gentle Gentleman and I like many only have fond memories of him and will miss him dearly. RIP my friend.
This weeks darts round up,
Well, what a week we have had. Sun, a great week of football topped of with darts on a Friday, it doesn’t get much better than that really. I am going to start this week in division two, where we have new leaders, the Admiral Cups. They beat the Boars Head A 6-3, Ricky Edwards checked out on 120.
They moved to the top because of this win and the Northern Diamonds 5-4 win against the Bull Dogs.
Biggest winners in division two were the Dewdrop Harvey, they beat the Boars Head B 8-1 and Tilmanstone won 6-3 against the DSAA Hope. In the final game of division three the Diamond C lost 6-3 against the Hairy Crown.
In division three the Eagle won 6-3 against the Old Endeavour, highlights of this game were a 180 for Scott Rushton and a 112 checkout for Steve Cloke, both of the Endeavour.
The Carriers moved to the top of the table, they beat the Sportsman 8-1 which improved there leg difference sufficiently enough to move above the Whitfield Club who beat the Nelson 5-4. Archie Dryden checked out on 144 for the Nelson and Darren Everett of the Carriers checked out on 100.
The Phoenix Rising won 7-2 against the DSAA C and to top of a good night for the Phoenix, the C side won 6-3 against the DSAA Misfits.
In division one there was three 9- results. DWMC Oast beat the Phoenix Maddogs, the Diamond beat the Three Cups and the Bull A beat the Real Diamonds. the Old Endeavour win 8-1 against the inform Boars Head Arrows, the Hairy Bull won 7-2 against the Boars Head C, the same score line the DWMC had against the Crown & Sceptre.
Highlights from division one included 180s for Brian Pearce, Tony Lewis, James Manton, Dave Heath and Paul Kermode. Just the one big checkout, 118 from Steve Roberts of the DWMC Oast.
