The Nelson made it fours wins out of five game with a 6-3 win against the Old Endeavour.

The Phoenix C made it two wins on the bounce and this week had a cracking 7-2 win against their pub rivals Phoenix St Pauls and the Sportsman won by the same margin against the DSAA C.

Here we are, with three weeks of the season left and every division has plenty to play for.

In division three we have seen a change in leaders, the Northern Diamonds beat the long term leaders the Hairy Crown 6-3, and now sit two points clear.   This is the 18th won on the bounce for the Diamonds, their only defeat was in week one of the season against the Carriers 8-1.  The Hairy Crown have only lost twice all season, both against the Diamond.

The Carriers are in third place, they beat the Phoenix C 6-3 and the Nelson made it a hat trick of wins on the bounce, beating the DSAA C 8-1.

The Sportsmans only defeat in the last four weeks has been against the new leaders, this week they beat the Crown Smiffys 6-3.  In the final game from division three the DSAA Misfits beat the Phoenix St Pauls  5-4.

In division two the Three Cups quickly bounced back from last weeks defeat with a 7-2 win against the Boars Head B, they still sit behind the Crown who won 5-4 against the DSAA Hope, but they do have a game in hand in the Crown.  Rob Bennett hit a 180 for the Crown.

The Diamond C were 5-4 winners against Tilmanstone, they sit in fourth just behind the Admiral Harvey A who beat the Carriers 6-3.  No 180s in the match, but there was a 171 from Jim Clarke of the Carriers.

A good night for the Harvey, the B side were 5-4 winners against the Bull Dogs they are now fifth in the table.

In division one the top five all won.  the Diamond beat the Phoenix Maddogs 9-0, Tyler Morris of the Maddogs hit a 180 and a 107 checkout.

Second placed Bull A beat the Bull B 8-1.  This match included a 180 from Garth Speakman, he also hit a 112 checkout.  Kevan Hackett matched that checkout and Johnny Petts checked out on 104.

The Hairy Bull were 7-2 winners against the Boars Head C and sit in fourth place and finally the most eventful game of the night was fifth placed Old Endeavours 5-4 win against the DWMC B.  There were two 180s for Sean lloyd, one a piece for Ryan Lucas, Baz Robinson and Mark Comley.  Tony Lewis checked out on 116 and Baz Robinson also had a 100 checkout.  In the pairs Sean Lloyd and Baz Robinson had a 12 dart leg.

Over the next few days I will confirm the AGM and Summer Registration, but provisionally this will be the 9th April, 8pm, Old Endeavour.

115.5 Average and a 170 checkout, what a week!

Sometimes you look at the darts that have been thrown in our league and you think to yourself, oh my god, what a standard that really is. This week was one of those weeks!

In division one, The Bull A lost to the Diamond 6-3, another twist at top of division one. The match was superb and the absolute highlight for me was two legs from Wayne Venes, 12 darts and 14 darts with 2 x 180s and a 129 checkout. That is an amazing 115.61 average over the two legs and his opponent Lee Ware was sitting on checkouts in both legs. I would actually say that is the best performance over two legs I have ever seen in our league because both players were superb.

The Dewdrop Oast beat the DWMC B 6-3, Steve Roberts checked out on 106 and the Boars Head C were 7-2 winners against the Phoenix Maddogs. Jason Davey and Mick Law both hit 180s in this match.

Kyle Manton hit a 180 in the Boars Head Arrows 6-3 win against the Bull B and the Old Endevour were handed a 9-0 by the Real Diamonds.

The Admiral Harvey A were 5-4 winners against the previously unbeaten Three Cups, Louis Pearson hit a 180 for the Harvey. However, the star of the show was definitely Billy Bristow of the Cups, he checked out on 170. Well done Billy!

The Crown & Sceptre have moved to top of the table, they won 5-4 against the Diamond C. They have played one game more than the Cups though.

DSAA Hope picked up a rare win, a 5-4 against the Boars Head A, wasnt all bad news for the division two Boars Head sides, the B side won 6-3 against Tilmanstone.

The Admiral Harvey B won 7-2 against the Phoenix Rising and the Carriers B had a 9-0 against the Bull Dogs.

In to division three, and the Hairy Crown beat the Old Endeavour 7-2 and the Northern Diamonds won 5-4 against the Sportsman. These two sides are joint top at the moment and play each on Friday.

The Carriers excellent season continued, a 7-2 win against the DSAA C and the Phoenix St Pauls were 5-4 winners against the Crown Smiffys.

In the final game of the night the Nelson beat the DSAA Misfits 6-3, Archie Dryden checked out on 113 for the Nelson.
