TONY “SILVERBACK” O’SHEA  26th OCTOBER 2018

Another important date fr your diary is the 2nd November, this is the start date of the Winter campaign.  As you know we changed the format of the league a few seasons back so that we could have less byes reducing the league to three divisions.  This I think has worked.  However, with that meaning we have 22 weeks in each season, and 5 weeks of other events, the team knockout in its existing format will not be played.  I am looking at potential different types of events where it can be all played on one night, like a triples event.  This would be in the Winter.  The team knockout has always been an events which has had very little support, so maybe the time is right for it to be refreshed.

And as we are starting the league on the second of November, the registration for the Winter is now open.  These forms and payment can be handed in at the Pairs and Singles events over the next few weeks, but also a registration period of one hour between 8 and 9pm on the 17th October at the Diamond. CLICK HERE FOR WINTER REGISTRATION FORM.

On with this weeks darts.

Coming up from division three are the Carriers as Champions and the Whitfield Club as runners up.  The Carriers have been knocking on the door for a couple of seasons now and losing just two games all season is an excellent effort.  The Whitfield Club are a young new side that have had an excellent first season in the league.

This weeks division three results are, 7-2 to the Carriers against the Eagle, 5-4 for the Whitfield Club against the Phoenix C, Phoenix Rising beating the Sportsman 5-4 and finally DSAA Misfits beating the Old Endeavour 7-2.  In division three there was a 100 checkout for Paul James of the Misfits and a 129 for Malcolm Graham of the Carriers.
