Week 10, Great Darts and a league player running the Brighton Marathon

One week from the half way stage and there are plenty of top darts being played in all three divisions.

In division three the Carriers arms are top of the table and the Whitfield Club are second, level on points, with only 3 games differences separating the two.  This week they both won 7-2, Carriers beating the Old Endeavour and Whitfield Club beating the DSAA C.  Scottie Rushton of the Old Endeavour hit his second 180 of the season, following the one he hit last Friday.

In the Phoenix derby, the C side beat the Rising 5-4, they cam from 4-1 down to win the match.   The Sportsman now sit fourth behind the Phoenix C after their 5-4 win against the Misfits.  The Nelson won 9-0 as the Smiffys were unable to field a side.

One note from last weeks fixtures, Daniel Gerrard of the misfits hit a 180.

In division two the Dewdrop Harvey were biggest winners,  they won 9-0 against the DSAA A.  Luke Terry checked out on 109 and Shaun Terry checked out on 104, both for the Dewdrop.

Top of the tree are the Admiral Cups, tied with the Bull Dogs.  The Cups won 6-3 against the Northern Diamonds and the Bull Dogs on 5-4 against the DSAA Hope.  Louis Pearson checked out on 110 for the Cups.

The Hairy Crown are third, they beat the Boars Head B 7-2. and finally the Diamond C beat the Boars Head A 6-3.  No 180s in this match but Kev Thorp did hit a maximum on the 19s.

There was a couple of 8-1s in division one, the Old Endeavour beat the Real Diamonds and the Diamond beat the Boars Head Arrows.  Paul Turner and Jim Penman hit 180s and Paul also hit a 120 checkout.

The Bull A won 5-4 in a tight match against the DWMC, Ash Battie hit a 180 and Kevan Hackett checked out on 102, both for the Bull A who sit in third, level points with the Old E and two behind the leaders, the Diamond.

Fourth placed Hairy Bull lost 5-4 against the DWMC Oast, this game had four 180s.  One a piece for Paul Kermode and Alan Katreiber and two for Andrew Smith.  Carl Booker checked out on 145, sounds a cracking night of darts.

Near the lower end of the table there was a couple of big wins for the Phoenix Maddogs and the Boars Head C.  Maddogs won 6-3 against the Crown & Sceptre and the Boars Head beat the Three Cups 5-4.

Below is your weekly 180 and checkout updates, and for the  next couple of weeks the blog will be from Peter Phillips.

Finally, Lee Humphrey of the Admiral Cups is running the Brighton Marathon and is raising money for Prostate Cancer.  IF you could be so kind to show your support that would be amazing.  Here is all you need to knwo about his efforts and how you can donate, https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/leehumphrey
