Week 4

 We will start this weeks round up in division three, with the current leader, The Whitfield Club.  They beat the Carrires in game where one of them would lose their 100% record, the Whitfield Club won 5-4.  The only other side with 100% win record in the division is the phoenix C, who had a bye this week.  

Another side that had a cracking start to the season is the Sportsman, they have won three of their opening four games, they beat the DSAA C 8-1 this week.  The Nelson won 7-2 against the Old Endeavour and finally the Crown Smiffys had a 9-0 as the Eagle could not field a side.

In division two the Boars Head B are still unbeaten, they ended the Bull Dogs unbeaten start to the season with a 5-4 win.  Connor Barnes and Chris Wayte both hit 180s in the match.  This result means that the Northern Diamonds are the only other unbeaten side in the league, they beat fellow promoted side the Hairy Crown 5-4.  

The Diamond C picked up their first win of the season, they beat the Admiral Cups 5-4, the DSAA A made it three wins out of four with a 6-3 win against Tilmanstone.

In the final game of the night in division two Dave Henwood of the DSAA Hope checked out on 153 in his sides 5-4 win against the Dewdrop Harvey.

Division one, there was two 9-0s.  The DWMC Oast beat the Crown& Sceptre and the Boars Head Arrows beat Phoenix Maddogs.  Apologies to the Crown as missed them from the blog completely, to make it worse they won for the first time in the top flight, 5-4 vs Boars Head C.

The Bull A won 6-3 against the Boars Head C, Darran Bough checked out on 117 for the Boars Head.  The Diamond won 6-3 against the Old Endeavour, couple of 180s in this game, one a piece for Baz Robinson and Ray Bourne.

Tony Earl checked out on 102, however his DWMC side lost 6-3 against the Hairy Bull.  Jim Yarwood hit two cracking checkouts for the Real Diamonds, 100 and 120.   This was eclipsed by a excellent 152 by Mike Matthews on the Three Cups who won the match 5-4.

Week 3, 170 for Tony Lewis

 

Week three of the season and we have a 170 checkout.  Congratulations Tony Lewis for joining the 170 Club, that is the 16th 170 checkout in the league, the first hit 2010 by Kevin Green.

Tonys 170 was hit against the Three Cups as his the Old Endeavour won 9-0, Billy Bristow hit a 180 for the Cups.    The DWMC also won 9-0, they beat the Phoenix Maddogs and the Bull A beat the Diamond 7-2.  Wayne Venes hit two 180s and the also checked out 100 fir the Diamond.

DWMC Oast were also 7-2 winners, they beat the Boars Head Arrows and the Hairy Bull beat the Real Diamonds 8-1.  There was a 110 checkout for Dean Marsh, 120 for Alan Kartreiber and Dave Heath hit a 180, all for the Hairy.

In division two the Boars Head B amazing start to the season continues, last year they avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth and now they have won the first three matches of the season.  This week they beat Tilmanstone 7-2, Ant Page of Tilmanstone hit a 180.

Second place Bull Dogs also made it three out of three, they beat the Diamond C 5-4.  DSAA A were 5-4 winners against the Boars Head A, Gemma Merrells checked out on 113 and Dick Green checked out on 130.  Bob Coleman won the final game of the match to seal the win.

The Hairy Crown won 5-4, they beat the Admiral Cups.  Ricky Edwards hit a 180 for the Cups.

In division three there was two 9-0 wins, the Phoenix C beat the DSAA C and the Whitfield Club beat the Eagle.  Both these sides are unbeaten this campaign.  The only other unbeaten side in the league is the Carriers, they beat the Phoenix Rising 8-1.

The Old Endeavour bounced back from last weeks 9-0 defeat to beat the Crown Smiffys 5-4, and last but by no means least the Sportsman won for the second week in a row, 5-4 against the Nelson.

Week 2

In to week two of the new summer darts campaign, and there has been some top darts already with plenty of 180s, big checkouts and legs completed in low number of darts.

Starting this week in division two, the Bull Dogs made it two wins in as many weeks with a 5-4 win against the Hairy Crown.   The Boars Head B also made it two out of two, Mick Barnes hit a 106 checkout in his sides 5-4 win against the DSAA A.

Micks 106 wasn’t the highest on the night, Wayne Anderton checked out on 110 for the Admiral Cups in their 6-3 win against the Dewdrop Harvey.  Ricky Edwards hit a 180 for the Cups in their first leg match of the season.

Tilmanstone beat the Diamond C 6-3, and the Boars Head A won by the same scoreline against the DSAA Hope.  The Diamond C, Dewdrop Harvey and the DSAA Hope have all started with two defeats.

In division three we have two results missing, last weeks DSAA C v Nelson and this weeks Phoenix Rising v Eagle.

New side Whitfield Club made it two wins out of two with a cracking 9-0 win against the Old Endeavour.   Phoenix C have also won the first two games, they beat the Nelson 6-3.

The Carriers first game of the season was a 5-4 win against the DSAA Misfits, Malcolm Graham hit a 180 for the Carriers.  The Sportsman bounced back from last weeks defeat to beat the Crown Smiffys 6-3.

Three sides in division one have started with two wins, Diamond, Bull A and the Boars Head Arrows.

The Bull A beat the Three Cups 7-2, Andy Mcnicholas of the BUll A, Luke Blyhte and Marc Thorp of the Cups all hit 180s in this match.  Brian Pearce and Darren Hyder of the Diamond hit 180s and Ben Baldwin checked out on 104 for the Diamond in their 7-2 win against the Crown & Sceptre.

Kyle and Blake Manton hit a 14 leg game of pairs in the Boars Head Arrows 6-3 win against the DWMC.  Tony Earl of the Workies checked out on 109 and hit a 180.

Phoenix Maddogs won for the first time this season, the beat the Real Diamonds 5-4 , the DWMC Oast won 8-1 against the Boars Head C.  Three 180s in this match, Adam Cork and Steve Roberts of the Oast and Charlie Wells of the Boars Head.

In the final game of division one the Hairy Bull beat the Old Endeavour 6-3, there was 180s for Dave Heath of Hairy, Al Terry of Old E and hit team mate Baz Robinson checked out on 120.

I make that 13 180s this week and 5 ton plus checkouts.  We will keep track of this over the coming season to see the best week for the whole league
