Final scheduled week, Knockouts, AGM, Summer start date

This week was the final scheduled week of league fixtures, however we do have a handful of games to play on the spare week on the 27th April due to snow week.

In division one the Diamond won 9-0 against the Boars Head C and the Bull A won 6-3 against the DWMC. These results mean if the Diamond beat the DWMC in the rearranged fixture then they win the league, if they lose the Bull A win the league. Paul Perkins hit a 180 for the Bull A, team mate Andy McNicholas checked out on 100 and John Ross of the Workies checked out on 14. Jason Davey of the Boars Head C hit two 180s in his pairs match, the first 180 was the actually the first throw of the whole match.

The Old Endeavour can finish third above the Hairy Bull if they beat the Bull B, this week they beat the Phoenix Maddogs 6-3. The Hairy Bull were 7-2 winners against the Dewdrop Oast.

The Boars Head Arrows won 9-0 against the Real Diamonds, Jim Greenway checked out on 121 and Kyle Manton checked out on 102, both for the Arrows.

In division two the league title is back in Three Cups hands, if they win their rearranged game against Tilmanstone they will win the league. This was after their 6-3 win against Phoenix Rising and the Admiral Harvey B 5-4 win against the Crown & Sceptre.

Biggest winners on the night in division two were the Diamond C, they won 9-0 against the Bull B. The Boars Head A were 6-3 winners against the Carriers, they jumped over them in the league table by the difference of just won game win over the whole season.

The Admiral Harvey A were 8-1 winners against the DSAA Hope they finish the season third, one above the Diamond.

Finally in division two the Tilmanstone Club beat the Bull Dogs 5-4.

In division three the Hairy Crown won the league, unfortunately it wasn’t decided on the night as the Nelson couldn’t field a side and they had a 9-0. The Hairy have a cracking first season of darts in the league and been a great addition.

The rise of the Northern Diamonds this season has seen them as a real solid side now, they are promoted as well, they won 8-1 against the DSAA Misfits.

Third place will be the Carriers, they do have one game still to plat though against the Crown Smiffys and they had a bye this week. The Smiffys won 6-3 against DSAA C.

The Sportsman won 5-4 against the Phoenix C and the Phoenix St Pauls had a solid 7-2 win against the Old Endeavour.

The final throws!

Here we are, the final throws of another season of darts, and every division has plenty to play for.

In division one the Bull A are top of the table after their 6-3 win against the Old Endeavour, a result that moves them above the Diamond who had no game this week. There was couple of nice checkouts in the game, a 119 for Baz Robinson and a 111 for Tony Selby.

Third placed Dewdrop Oast won 9-0 against the phoenix Maddogs, no 180s in the match but there was a 106 checkout for Adam Cork and a 171 maximum on the 19s for Mark Smith.

They were not th eonly 9-0 winners on the night in division one, the Hairy Bull beat the Bull B by that margin and Carl Booker hit a 112 checkout.

Sixth placed DWMC B were 6-3 winners against the Boars Head Arrows, John Ross of the Workies was on fine finishing form, he checked out on 130 and 107. Jim Greenway of the Arrows checked out on 120.

In division two, the Crown & Sceptre have moved to the top of the table and now have a 9 game lead over the second placed Three Cups, albeit the Cups do have one game in hand. Its going to be close.

This week the Crown & Sceptre beat the Bull Dogs 7-2 and the DSAA hope beat the Three Cups 6-3. Shane Bryce of the Crown checked out on 112.

The Diamond C beat the Admiral Harvey A 6-3, Pete Phillips hit a 180 and Kev Thorpe checked out 116. These two sides sit fourth and third, but are tied on 30 points.

Not all bad news for the Harvey, the B side were 6-3 winners against the Boars Head A, Ray Whatmore of the Harvey checked out on 137. The bottom two sides faced each other, the Phoenix Rising beat the Tilmanstone Club 5-4, Anto Jones of Tilmanstone hit a 180.

In the final game of division two, the Boars Head B were 6-3 winners against the Carriers.

Division three leaders the Hairy Crown were 7-2 winners against the Carriers, Dan O’Neill of the Hairy hit a 180. They are level on points with the Northern Diamonds, but know a win next week wins them the league due to superior leg difference.

The Nelson made it fours wins out of five game with a 6-3 win against the Old Endeavour.

The Phoenix C made it two wins on the bounce and this week had a cracking 7-2 win against their pub rivals Phoenix St Pauls and the Sportsman won by the same margin against the DSAA C.
