Final week round up

Were all done, the league campaign is over for another summer.

In division one we have known for a couple of weeks the winners are the Hairy Bull, they ended the season unbeaten. They beat the Diamond 5-3 this week to finish the season six points clear of their closest rivals.

The phoenix PD won 5-4 against the Three Cups, and the Bull A beat the Real Diamonds 8-1, whilst the Admiral Cups picked up a in against the the DWMC. This has meant he Real Diamonds and the Three Cups are in the bottom two.

The Old Endeavour ended the season with a 5-4 win against the Crown Arrows.

Top of the 180s in division one is Wayne Venes with 9 and the top finish is of course the brilliant 170 from Mick Cock.

Top of the shop in division two were the Hairy Bull, they won 5-4 against the Crown A. Second placed is the DWMC Maddogs, they beat the Boars Head A 6-3.

The Diamond C won 6-3 against the Dewdrop, they finished the season like the Boars Head A and the Bull Dogs, Played 18, Won 9 and Lost 9. Think thats a fairly even season for them three.

The Bull Dogs won 6-3 against the Phoenix C, who are in the bottom two with the Crown A.

Dean Clemmence has hit three 180s and the highest checkout for division two was a 136 from Mick Law.

Division three winners f course we have known for a very long time, that is the Crown B. They had no game this week.

Second place has gone the Old E, 9-0 this week against the DSAA C. Elsewhere in the division it was 6-3 to the Northern Diamonds against the Eagle C, 5-4 for the Phoenix Rising against the Sportsman, 7-2 for the Hope against the Golden Eagle and finally 7-2 for the Eagle A against the Misfits.

25TH OCTOBER – OVER 55s The Bull

In division one we now know our champions are the Hairy Bull, they beat the Crown arrows 6-3. We congratulate them on a superb season, which may well topped with actually being finished unbeaten.

The match also included a special moment for Mick Cock of the Arrows, he took out the big checkout, a 170.

Runners are the Diamond, they beat the Bull A 7-2.

The Bull and the Old Endeavour are playing it our for third place, the Old E this week lost against the Phoenix PD.

Still not 100% sure on the relegation’s thought, the Whitfield Club beat the DWMC A 5-4 and the Three Cups won by the same margin meaning against the Admiral Cups. This means the Real Diamonds and the Admiral Cups must both win this week to have a chance of staying up.

The Hairy Crown are top of the table in division two, a win tonight will make them champions. They beat the Phoenix C this week 6-3. There closest rivals are the DWMC Maddogs, they play the Boars Head A this week and the Hairy Crown play the Crown A who won 9-0 against Tilmanstone this week.

There was a 5-4 wind for the Dewdrop against the DSAA A and the Diamond C against the Bull Dogs.

Division three champions Crown b beat the DSAA Hope 7-2 and second place Old Endeavour beat the DSAA Misfits 8-1. If they Old E beat the DSAA C tonight they are promoted as runners up.

The Eagle derby between the A side and the Golden ended 9-0 to the A side. They were not the only 9-0 winners, northern Diamonds beat the DSAA C.

Finally, the Eagle C won 7-2 against the Phoenix Rising.

Happy darting people!

Blog – The run in

With just two weeks left of the league campaign, we really are in the business end of the season.

In division one the Hairy Bull are virtually champions, the 5-4 win the had against the Phoenix PD means that they would need to lose their final two games of the season of the season and the Diamond win their final two matches for them to not win the league.  Considering they have not lost all season I think its is well odds on that they will be champions.

The Diamond beat the Crown Arrows 5-4, they were 3-0 up before a spirited fight back from the Arrows.

The DWMC A beat the Real Diamonds 6-3, the Whitfield Club beat the Three Cups 7-2 and the Old Endeavour beat the Admiral Cups 8-1.  Therefore the Whitfield Club were the only side in the bottom four that picked up a win this week.

Highlights in division one games were 180s from, Ricky Edwards, Jim Penman, Jim Greenway, Si Lee and two fro Jimmy Yarwood.

And the big finishes were 110 Ryan Lucas, 100 Al Terry, 120 Dave Heath and for 100 Paul Martin.

Division two the Phoenix Maddogs and the Hairy Crown are promoted, the battle is to now see who will when the league between the two of them.

This week the the Hairy beat the Bull Dogs 9-0 and the Maddogs lost 6-3 against the Dewdrop 6-3 making them joint on 28 points.

We do know thought that the Phoenix C and the Crown A will finish the season in those relegation zones.  The Crown A did win this week, they beat the Boars Head A 5-4, the Phoenix lost 6-3 against Tilmanstone.

In the final game from division two the DSAA A secured their division two status with a 6-3 win against the Diamond C.  Dean Clemmence of the Diamond hit a 180.

Division three champions the Crown B beat the Eagle 6-3, whilst the runners up spot is between four sides still.  DSAA Hope, Sportsman, Old Endeavour and Phoenix Rising are battling it out.  This week the Old Endeavour beat the Golden Eagle 7-2, DSAA Hope beat the Sportsman 7-2 and the Rising had a bye.

The Northern Diamonds sit just outside that chasing pack, they beat the Misfits 6-3 and the DSAA C beat the Eagle C 5-4.

Jack Isaacs of the Old Endeavour hit a 180 in his match for the Old E, thats his second this season.
