Champions, relegation, the business end of the season!!!!!

It is the business end of the season, promotion, relegation and then we move on to our annual blind pairs and divisional singles knockouts.

In division one the Old Endeavour are champions, thats back to back titles for the Old E. This week they beat the Crown Maddogs 9-0, there were two 180s, one each for Martin McCneill and Mick Law.

Second place is between the Diamond, Bull A and the Hairy Bull. This week the Hairy beat the Diamond 6-. There were five 180s in the match, two for Dave Heath and one a piece for Paul Turner, Wayne Venes and Ryan Short. Dave Heath also checked out on 115.

The Bull A beat the Admiral Harvey 7-2. 180s each for Tony Selby and and Louis Pearson Whatmore, plus a 107 checkout for Lee Ware.

The Boars Head Arrows beat the Real Diamonds 7-2, Phil Hayes of the Diamond hit a 180. John Ross of the DWMC B hit a 180 in his sides 6-3 win against the DWMC A. In the final game of the night, Steve Roberts of the DSAA Oast checked out on 100 in their 7-2 win against the Diamond C.

The Diamond C are relegated and the second relegation spot is between the Admiral Harvey A and the Crown Maddogs.

In division two the Bull B are champions, they beat the Phoenix Rising 8-1. Gordon Speakman and Tony Gibbs both hit 180s in the match. Second place has gone to the Boars Head C.   They beat the Bull Dogs 5-4, Luke Jackson hit a 180 for the Boars Had.   The A side beat the Crown & Sceptre 6-3, Tony Kemp with a 180.

The Three Cups were 9-0 winners against Tilmanstone and Admiral Harvey B were 5-4 winners against the Phoenix C. Malcolm Graham checked out on 126 for the Harvey.

The Cups and the Phoenix Rising are both relegated from division two.

In division three we know the Three Cups are champions, runners up spot has gone to the Carriers B. They lost this week though, 6-3 against the Eagle Drifters.

The DSAA Wanderers beat the Old Endeavour 5-4 and the final result I have is the Sportsman winning 9-0 against the Carriers.

Finally,  there are loads of dates for your diary, but one we are changing.  The Over 55s was planned for Saturday 9th September, we are proposing changing that to Friday 20th October, week before the pro night.  I will confirm this week.

Three Cups Division Three Champions

I would like to congratulate the Three Cups in division three on becoming champions after their 8-1 victory over second placed Carriers B, Jamie Breeden hit a 180 for the cups. Carriers need just one more win out of the three remaining games to seal second place. Sportsman won 5-4 against Northern Diamonds, DSAA C got handed a 9-0 win after DSAA Wanderers didn’t have enough players, Old Endeavour lost to Phoenix St Paul’s 7-2, Eagle Drifters beat Carriers A 7-2 and Dave Drummond hit a 108 finish for the Eagle.

Division Two and with three games remaining can the Bull B hold onto the top spot and claim the championship? They beat the Three Cups B 9-0 and confirmed promotion, Gordon Speakman hit a 180 for the Bull. Bulldogs lost to Boars Head B 5-4, Tilmanstone won 6-3 against Admiral Harvey B with Steve Reeves hitting a 121 and 103  finish for the Harvey, Crown and Sceptre beat DSAA Hope 5-4, Phoenix Rising lost to Boars Head A 5-4 with Dave Buddle finishing on 108 for the Boars Head and Brian Court finishing on 113 for the Phoenix, Boars Head C beat Phoenix C 6-3 with Dave Carter finishing on 104 for the Phoenix.

Division one and four teams are still in the running to be crowned champions, Bull A beat the Old Endeavour 7-2 with Ash Battie and Tony Selby each scoring 180 for the Bull, Diamond beat pub rivals Diamond C 9-0, Hairy Bull beat DWMC A 7-2 with Richard wood and Graham Gosling both finishing on 120 and Dave Heath and Ryan Short both scoring 180 all play for the Hairy, Boars Head Arrows beat DWMC B 5-4 with Simon Annett finishing on 100 for the DWMC, DSAA Oast beat Crown Maddogs 8-1 with Paul Morris finishing on 116 for the Crown, Real Diamond beat Admiral Harvey A 5-4.

Division one
Boars Head Arrows beat the DSAA Oast 5-4, Andy Smith of the Arrows hit a 180, DWMC B won 6-3 against Bull with Ash Battie hitting 180 for the Bull, Old Endeavour won 8-1 against Real Diamonds Ryan Lucas hit 180 for the Old Endeavour, Admiral Harvey A beat Diamond C 5-4, Diamond won 7-2 against the DWMC A, Hairy Bull won 9-0 against the Crown Maddogs there was a 180 for Dave Heath and a 120 finish for Paul Kermode both from the Hairy also Tyler Morris hit a 115 finish for the Crown.
Division Two
Crown and Sceptre lost to the Admiral Harvey B 5-4, Tilmanstone lost to the Bulldogs 6-3, Boars Head B got given their game 9-0 due to the Phoenix C unable to get a team, Boars Head C won 6-3 against Boars Head A with Graham Clewlow hitting a 180 for the A team, Phoenix rising won 6-3 against the Three Cups B, Bull B beat the DSAA Hope 6-3.
Division Three
DSAA Wanderers unfortunately had to give their game away 9-0 against the Carriers B due to not enough players, Three Cups beat the Sportsman 6-3 with Billy Bristow hitting 180 for the cups, Northern diamonds also got given the game 9-0 due to Eagle Drifters not having a team, Carriers A won 8-1 against the Old Endeavour, and the nelson also had to give the game to the DSAA C due to not enough players.
