week 14

I must start this weeks blog with an apology to the Hairy Bull and the DWMC B for missing them off last week it was a human error, i am sorry.

Division One saw two 9-0’s this week one of which was a pub derby, The Diamond taking the win against Real Diamond, Paul martin of the Diamond hit a 180. The other 9-0 game was Diamond C against the Bull A with the Bull being the winners. Boars Head Arrows beat the DWMC A 5-4 with Simon Scott of the DWMC hitting 180. Hairy Bull beat the Old Endeavour 7-2 Carl Booker from the Hairy hitting 180. Dsaa Oast lost 5-4 against DWMC B Steve Roberts hit a 180 for the DWMC. Admiral Harvey A beat  the Crown Maddogs 6-3.

Division Two Three Cups B lost 5-4 against the Admiral Harvey B. Boars Head A beat Bulldogs 5-4, Karl Shepherd finished on 106 for the Bulldogs and Roy Waymark hit a 171 in the game. Phoenix Rising were the winners of their pub derby beating Phoenix C 7-2. Bull B won 8-1 against Boars Head B. Crown and Sceptre lost 5-4 to Tilmanstone.  Boars Head C won against Dsaa Hope 6-3.

In Division Three we have a team that is still unbeaten and a team that won their first match. Old Endeavour are the team who won their first match of the season beating the Sportsman 5-4 and the team unbeaten is the Three Cups who beat the Dsaa Wanderer 8-1 with Billy Bristow hitting a 180 for the Cups. Phoenix St Pauls lost 6-3 to the Eagle Drifters with Richard Pitcher hitting a 180 for the Drifters. Northern Diamonds beat Nelson 7-2 and Carriers A won 6-3 against Dsaa C.

Week 13 is unlucky for some.

This week i will start with division two and the biggest winners of the night were Bull B winning 8-1 against Tilmanstone with Dave Jones hitting a 180 for the Tilmanstone, Boars Head B won 6-3 against Phoenix Rising with Mick Barnes hitting 180 for Boars Head B, Boars Head A won 6-3 against Phoenix C with Dave Carter from the Phoenix finishing on 130, Bull Dogs won 5-4 against Three Cups B, Admiral Harvey B won 5-4 against DSAA Hope with Richard Cray finishing on 114 for the hope, Crown & Scepter won 5-4 against Boars Head C with with some great finishing Jason Davey of the Boars Head C hit 112 and 105 out shot and Brandon Mayland finished on 120 for the Crown.

Division Three saw both carriers teams scoop a 9-0 win each. Carriers b won against DSAA C with Bob Coleman finishing on 126 for the Carriers and the Carriers A were given their game against the DSAA Wanderers. Three cups beat the nelson A 8-1, Phoenix St Pauls beat the Northern Diamonds 5-4 after being 4-1 down, Eagle Drifters beat Old Endeavour 7-2 with Richard Pitcher finishing on 108 for the Eagle.

Division one saw the Diamond team seem to have the most action in their match against Old Endeavour with Mark Clayton and Paul Turner hitting 180 each and Joe west finishing on 112 and the Old Endeavour had Al terry hit 180 and Baz Robinson finish on 134 final score 5-4 to the Old Endeavour,  Real Diamonds were winners against their pub rivals Diamond c 8-1, Teresa Brown finishing on 124 for the Diaomnd C, Boars Head Arrows beat Crown Maddogs 6-3, DSAA Oast beat Admiral Harvey A 8-1.  I have saved this result till last as it proves no matter where you stand in the table its still anybody’s game on the night, the DWMC A who currently are sitting towards the bottom end of the table beat the Bull A 5-4 Mark Culley of the DWMC A hit a 180.

Turn around – will there be revenge

The latest round of fixtures was the turnaround week, teams will be seeking revenge for earlier defeats whilst others would be looking at completing the double.

In division three it was a repeat of the first half of the season, all sides that one the first time around won this time as well.

The carriers b completed the double over the Carriers A with an 8-1, the Sportsman won 9-0 against the DSAA C, and the Northern Diamonds won 6-3 against the win less Old Endeavour.

The Three Cups are still unbeaten, they beat the Phoenix St Pauls 5-4, and finally the Nelson beat the Wanderers 7-2.

Division two was slightly different. The Phoenix C, Boars Head A and Tilmanstone Welfare Club all completed doubles. The Phoenix C beat the Three Cups 5-4, Boars Head A beat the Boars Head B 7-2 and the Tilmanstone Club beat the Phoenix Rising 7-2.

Reversing the results from first time around were the Boars Head C beating the Admiral Harvey 5-4, DSAA Hope beating the Bull Dogs 5-4 and the Bull B beat the Crown & Sceptre 7-2.

There was one big checkout in division two on the night, a 102 from Mike Smith of the Boars Head C.

In division one only the Real Diamonds completed the turn around, they beat the DWMC A 6-3. There was a couple of 9-0s on the night, the Old Endeavour beat the Diamond C and the Diamond beat the DWMC B.

The Bull A were also big winners, they won 8-1 against the against the Crown Maddogs. The Hairy Bull were 7-2 winners against the Oast Cottage and finally the Boars Head Arrows were 63 winners against the Admiral Harvey.

Big checkouts in division one were 118 from Jim Greenway, 110 from Dave Gealer. There were 180s from Dave Heath, Wayne Venes, Brian Pearce Kevan Hackett and Ash Battie.
